My Favorite Things And Jobs

Since I still have t-4 days until moving day, I figured I'd blog about something pointless. Like my favorite things.

1) My Blue Cup

My first piece of Fiestaware. I love it. I can't wait to start getting more.

2) My Dog

I mean, aside from the part where she just bit me in the nose. She's pretty cute.

3) This Song

4)Diet Coke

So good. I could drink it all day. I know it's horrible for you, but it's so much better than regular coke. I just started drinking it last week.

One of the things that's been going on that isn't my favorite is applying for jobs. I've applied for 13 so far and haven't had a call back yet, but we'll see.  I'm not a long-term care CNA like most places want, since I've just worked in an emergency room and all I know is emergency care, but I can learn pretty fast. I'm hoping I can find another ER job. I just love how it's fast paced and every day is different.

I'm at the point where I'll take anything I can get, even registration jobs, because any experience is good experience. I just wish I could get there faster :P.

It's funny, around a year ago today I was on Virginia Beach. My life/future and even my personality have done a complete 180. I'm so thankful I got my tech job, it helped me grow up and grow some patience. Part of me still really, really misses where I was going a year ago, but I'm very thankful for where I'm at now. I'm grateful for the people who helped me get into nursing, and supported me, dramatics and all. It just took me a year to finally realize where I went wrong and what wasn't meant to happen.

I can't wait for the future, though, and the future starts in five days :)

Hi!

Hi! I guess I should start this new blog by saying what it's for. My name is Keelin, I'm 20 years old and in 8 days I will be moving from the Midwest to the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I'm pretty excited to start over in a new state.  Compared to Illinois, it seems like there's so much more to do down there. I'll be about 30 minutes from Savannah (and Paula Deen's restaurant!) and 15 from multiple beaches. It will be a pretty big change, though. I'm trading tornadoes for hurricanes, opposums for alligators (there's one in my back yard where I'm moving to! I'm naming him George.) and I'll finally be getting some good sea food.

I'll also be going to college, after taking a year off to work. I think I'll probably miss my job in the ER the most, especially my awesome coworkers. Though, in 3 years I'll be able to be a nurse, so I guess it's a fair trade.

I'll be documenting everything from my pet alligator to school to (hopefully) a new job.  So far, there's nothing to update on since I'm still working my great job and am at home with my mom and 2/3 of my brothers, so stay tuned because in 8 days, the real adventure begins!
